Indian animated movie with budget of Rs. 20 crores and released in 7 languages altogether is about mythological son of Bhim and his wife Hidimba. He said to have combination of strength and magical power. The main character of the movie.. the Ghatothkach is not so famous as of Hanuman but the tale is full of comedy , myth and magic.

Ghatothkach, is full of power and magic and fond of Jungles, once he saves a young elephant which laid the foundation of the friendship between Ghatotkach and the elephant. There are few comedy sequence between the elephant and the Ghatothkach while their endless Jungle adventure.

There is a love bond between Arjun's son Abhimanyu and Balram's daughter Surekha as their parents decided them to get married when they grow up but later on as of conflict between Pandavs and Kauravas, the parents of Surekha decides to not marry her as Pandavas are no more wealthier. Here comes Ghatothkach, to save the love of cousins, he help them and make them unit.

A much part of the movie is devoted to the Abhimanyu and Surekha and the story becomes somewhat elderly here. So what is story? Seems movie has been made with effort to make compatible for both ie. elder as well children.

Animation of movie is lot inspired from style frames, few songs are rather in 3D animation. Which looks better but I think should have either gone for 2D only or 3D only. Mixture of two do not look too good. It is sure that Indians still have to move far more ahead in area of animation. Ofcourse is better than previous animated features but there are many technical areas where advancements is required. At places, it feels that the animation has been compromised. Professionalism is must now a days so such acts just leaves bad impression.

Story is rather musical, the songs Main hun Ghatothkach and Angalika bangalika are fun and other musical scores are acceptable. Background music appears as if you heard it before but is bearable.

For children its sure a delight to watch but overall a nice effort but still a long way to go. Also, a appeal, every one thinks that only mythological characters have scope for better animation movie ? No, please come up with some fresh heroes and plots too.

As Marathi cinema takes more confident strides, more and more filmmakers are looking for subjects and settings that are homespun, authentic and original. Which means many films (Valu, Nirop..) are being shot amidst the pristine, nestling beauty of Maharashtra’s rustic interiors and villages, opening up a whole new world for audiences all over.

And mainly for the above reason, Mahesh Hadawle’s debut film Tingya is special. Having born and brought up in a remote village, Hadawle has a certain genuine understanding of the setting—- a drought-affected village in Maharashtra — which lends the film superb texture.

The film is about Tingya, a 8 year old boy and his deep love for his family bull. The animal is sickly and has ceased to be of any use to Tingya’s father in ploughing. The family is hard-pressed for money and feel it is in their best interest to sell off the bull and get some money. However, Tingya is adamant about not giving away his ‘friend’ and goes to great lengths to protect it.
When a neighbour’s grandma is on her death bed and her family nurses her, Tingya wonders why his bull must be turned out when human beings are looked after even when they become old.
This seems to be Hadawle’s underlining theme where he suggests that village folk are more attached and share an emotional bond with nature and their surroundings compared to those living in the cities.
Nothing seriously wrong with that presumption and there are also some admirable parts that bring out Tingya’s anxiousness at losing his pet animal – the scene where he thinks his father might be successful in getting a tractor thereby not needing to sell the bull is a great one. However, Tingya dilemma is too long drawn out and after a while his concern seems too minor in the face of what his parents are going through. Portions where Tingya cuddles the bull or strikes himself on the leg instead of the animal until he bleeds are unpalatably melodramatic.
The central premise may lack an emotional resonance but the plight of the farmers –depicted through Tingya’s family—has been tackled with maturity and depth.
The film is certainly special for its brilliant camera work and setting and but it’s significance chiefly arises from the fact that this is a subtle yet powerfully evocative drama on the state of farmers in the country.

Simplicity always feels good. Maybe because it is earthly or maybe because the very essence is lack of exaggeration. Valu’s charming simplicity, however, in combination with its repetitiveness makes it a good watch but only for the very patient.

The most endearing part about Valu is its characters. And these characters add up to create the atmosphere of a village in the interiors of Maharashtra. The language has a strong dash of an every-day sense of humor. The rawness of the dialect adds to the overall appeal. But this could also keep it from being accessible to a larger audience.

Unfortunately, the language that defines the characters shows only one facet of their personality and thus end up giving a one-dimensional feel to each character. And make them not-so-interesting once you get to know them. However, I cannot take away from the fact that each and every actor has played their role in an utmost convincing manner, making you laugh and understand the one point they are trying to make. Right from the politician’s sidekicks to the middle-class government worker (Atul Kulkarni) - each one enjoyable in his/her own right.

The screenplay takes its own sweet time in establishing these characters. And it has all the time in the world because there is no great story to narrate here. The baseline story is as one-line as it can get. The villagers want to get rid of a bull that has become a menace. But there are layers if you are interested in peeling them. Underlying the superficial “nothing happening” feel of the screenplay are a couple of strong themes.

Something about the way this one line is narrated makes you think about human nature. Is every human just trying to find some excuse to blame for his/her misfortune? “Is the bull really a menace?” Nothing about its behavior on screen justifies the behavior of some of the villagers. There are three people in the village who don’t want the bull to go. Why are they the only ones who are seemingly content with their existence?

Is the bull a metaphor for any argument concerning society - abortion, affirmative action? There are pros and there are cons. Or is the one-liner yet another representation of the mother of all metaphors - The system! Is the bull a metaphor for everything that deviates from normal behavior in the “system”? Most people want to be rid of it, while a handful doesn’t mind the co-existence. As you can see, I am not very good with metaphors. All I know is the director is trying to say a little more than the obvious. And I think that’s the inherent beauty of metaphorical work. It’s open to interpretation.

Oh well, let’s come back to what can be seen. The camera breathtakingly captures the curves of the rugged terrain. And in tandem, the actors are given a curving trajectory that gives the frames a captivating beauty. This is especially true in the scenes where the bull is being chased.

Yet, all this put together, Valu is only adorable and not necessarily a must watch for everyone. For people who can enjoy the language, maybe. But otherwise, without “really good” subtitles it might end up being quite tedious.

" GAMYAM " MOVIE SYNOPSIS

Gamyam Abhiram (Sharwanand) is a filthy rich youngster. He falls in love with a medico called Janaki (Kamalinee Mukherjee), who is a good Samaritan. Janaki is an idealistic girl who believes in doing social service and treating the people around with love and care. Abhiram is a selfish guy who just wants Janaki, but not her noble traits. In the process, they are forced to separate. The rest of the St0ry is all about the road trip Abhiram takes place while searching for his love and discovering his inner-self.

" SHAURYA " MOVIE SYNOPSIS

A story of justice, honour, faith and above all believing in yourself. A story of finding courage within… where friendships are tested in the battle which maters the most… the battle for truth and justice…

Shaurya is the story of Javed…a man wronged by his country by the very men who he fought with and were his friends. It’s the story of Siddhant, whose only aim in life was to escape reality and wasn’t ready for what life brought him. It’s the story of Kavya who never understood why it was difficult to speak the truth. It’s the story of Akash for whom living the rules was the only way to live life. And it’s the story of Brigadier Pratap a man who lived by his own rules even if they were against humanity…

Captain Javed Khan is charged with mutiny, treason and killing a fellow officer. Even when he is held for court martial, he refuses to speak in his defense as the secret he holds is too powerful for the establishment to handle. Assigned for this task are Sid and Akash… two best friends, lawyers, and very ambitious individuals who have contrasting views on life.

Nevertheless, this one case will change their lives… forever. The case takes them to Srinagar. While Akash for whom winning the case matters the most, follows the blueprint, Sid discovers a new meaning in life, Kavya, Javed and of course the man in question, Brigadier Pratap. They all start becoming catalysts in the case and become much more vital than his perception.

" PREMABHISHEKAM " MOVIE SYNOPSIS

Tablets Nageswara Rao (TNR) lives in a village with his grandmother Rayalaseema Sakuntala (Telangana Sakuntala). His granny forces him to marry TNR’s niece Gajalakshmi (Geeta Singh). When Nageswara Rao refuses to marry her, his granny gives him 100 days time to marry a girl of his choice in the city or else marry Gajalakshmi. So, Nageswara Rao reaches city and meets his friend Muralimohan (Sunil) expressing his wish to marry a city girl. Accidentally, Nageswara Rao happens to see a girl Sridevi (Priya Mohan) and loses his heart. Muralimohan also falls in love with her. However, Sridevi chooses Nageswara Rao and takes him to his house. Sridevi’s father refuses to give his daughter and tells Nageswara Rao to earn Rs 25 lakhs first and then ask Sridevi’s hand. Nageswara Rao tries his best to earn money by striving hard but can not earn much. So he decides to earn money by bluffing and fooling the public. Noticing Nageswara Rao’s intelligence, an ad agency’s director (Melkote) appoints him as their ad films director and Nageswara Rao proves his talent and earns money in no time and demands Sridevi. At this juncture, Nageswara Rao suffers ill-health and goes to a doctor for medical check up. Nageswara Rao hears the doctor Gummadi (Dharmavarapu) words about a cancer patient and believes that he is talking about him. He then decides to sacrifice his love as Sridevi may turn a widow because of his death. He plays several tricks to make Sridevi believe that Nageswara Rao is unfit for her. Later, Nageswara Rao goes to Mumbai for an ad film’s shoot and a Mumbai model Jayasudha (Ruthika) says that she is in love with him. Jayasudha’s brother Hyderabad Haribhai (Srihari) is a big mafia don. Though he refuses her love initially, agrees for their marriage. At this juncture Nageswara Rao comes to know that Muralimohan is trying to trap Sridevi. Knowing well that Muralimohan is a bad guy, Nageswara Rao decides to stop the marriage. Haribhai comes in search of Nageswara Rao. The latter tells Haribhai that he is going to die soon with cancer. Haribhai summons Gummadi, who reveals that Nageswara Rao has no cancer. This clears Nageswara Rao’s doubts and again he tries to reveal the same to Sridevi and appeals to her not to marry Muralimohan. Sridevi also speaks to Dr Gummadi and clarifies that Nageswara Rao is telling the truth. In the climax, Nageswara Rao is in soup as Sridevi, Jayasudha and Gajalakshmi forcing him to marry them. Finally, Gajalakshmi agrees to marry an auto driver, while Jayasudha throws her weight to Muralimohan and Sridevi unites with Nageswara Rao and the film ends on a happy note.

" TULSI " MOVIE SYNOPSIS

TULSI tells the story of Tulsi [Manisha Koirala], married to a drunkard Suraj [Irrfan]. The couple is blessed with four kids. One evening, while Suraj is away, his friend [Yashpal Sharma] tries to molest Tulsi. When Suraj gets to know of it, he beats Yashpal black and blue.

A furious Yashpal swears revenge. In the meanwhile, Tulsi is diagnosed with blood cancer. Yashpal attacks Suraj and murders him. A distraught Tulsi now decides to get her kids adopted by different families before she’s gone.

TULSI has an interesting plot, but the writing is too mediocre. Things have been stretched to such a point that you start feeling restless, in the second hour specifically. Yet, it must be said that the concluding reels are highly emotional.

The film opens with the meeting between Tom (Dempsey) and Hannah (Monaghan) during his senior year at college. Ten years later, they're best friends but their relationship is strictly platonic. The stability of his existence is shaken, however, when she goes on a six-week business trip to Scotland. While she's there, he realizes his feelings are more than friendly and vows to tell her upon her return. Unfortunately for him, when she shows up in New York, she has a bloke (Kevin McKidd) in tow. This man, who apparently has so few flaws that Superman would be envious, is named Colin and is her fiancé. She surprises Tom by asking that he be her "Maid" of Honor. Since he has a better chance to destroy the wedding from the inside than from a distant position, he agrees.....
